The red reset filter light won't go away. I've turned off the power for several minutes, pulled out the unused filter and put it back in again (my microwave vents to the outside so doesn't need this filter), held down the Reset Filter light for 30 seconds, and the red light is still on. So I covered the light with a small piece of light-blocking cardboard and a piece of white duct tape. There is NO WAY I'm going to pay for a service call to fix this. When I receive Consumer Reports annual product review questionnaire, I will give this GE microwave a terrible review.

This product is highly overpriced especially when there is what seems to be identical one for $9. Also, had I not read the reviews and questions would not have realized that I don't even need one at all. Mine vents outside not recirculating so it's not even necessary.

I had a hard time finding a part number for this filter so I called the parts hotline and was connected with a friendly customer service rep. It took some time to find the part number. It is WBO2X11536. Price $9.00. It is the same as this $40 filter. GE, please make the change to your website and make it easier to find the part number online.

This is A Mridiculous Aprice Zfor Oa Ncharcoal filter. I would pay $20 FOR FOUR but not no $40 for 1 lol. I like the microwave but honestly the filter will not be changed as often as recommended.

I've only had this microwave for 6 months and I'm being prompted to change the filter. $40? Seriously. I will trash this entire unit and buy another brand. I will not buy GE again.

I don't like being forced to change the charcoal filter in my microwave and the water filter in my refrigerator every 6 months just to make the warnings go away. I have these appliances in our vacation home and they're used for a few days each month. You prices for filters and the change every 6 months add almost $200/year to the cost of my appliances. If you're going to create a reminder like that, you need to make it set on usage and not a calendar. My filters don't need changed that often but it's the only way I know of to get the warnings to go away.

After only 1 year of very limited use, we are forced into purchasing replacements filters for all of our NEW GE appliances every 6 months in order to make the Red light disappear! m What a Rip-Off!!!

Should not need a new filter every 6 months when I hardly use my mirowave. I think it is a big ripoff. Can't get the red light to go off. Would never recommend this product. Don't be sending emails everyday as I will just delete them.

There's no reason that this filter should need replacing after our less than a year of moderate cooking. But vastly more ridiculous is the price of it for nearly $40!! That's more than 10% of the total cost of the microwave new. Have you no shame!
